Picnic at Lums Pond
About this event
Join us for an afternoon of fun, food and friendship! Members are welcome to bring their significant other, just be sure to include them on the registration so we have an accurate number for ordering food. Some food will be provided, and members are welcome to bring something to share. Subs and chips will be provided by DSPC. Pulled pork sandwiches will be provided by DSPC member Mike Pappas (Pappas Backyard BBQ). And frozen, non-alcoholic drinks will be provided by DSPC member Matt Lee (Party Delaware). Lunch will be available from 12-1:30.
Opportunities to play pickleball (there are 6 new courts at Lums) and corn hole will be available for those interested. Other activities are available, Hiking Trails, Boating, Kayaking etc. , for you to explore. Check out https://www.destateparks.com/park/lums-pond/ website for more information.
We reserved picnic area 2B (pavilions were not available). This location offers some shade and is close to the pickleball courts and other activities. If you don't have a Delaware State park pass, there is 5 dollar entrance fee for Delaware Vehicles, and a 10 dollar fee for out of State Vehicles..
